Trucker Who Killed Seven In Shooting Spree Fired Just Hours Earlier
A truck driver went on an apparently random shooting spree in Odessa, Texas just hours after he was fired from his job. The gunman killed seven people and injured 22 others. Among his victims were three fellow truck drivers. Police first got wind that something was wrong when the shooter called 911 and the FBI’s national tip hotline. He told authorities that he had just been fired from his job as an oilfield truck driver over a disagreement. “It was, frankly, rambling statements about some of the atrocities that he felt that he had gone through,” FBI Special Agent Christopher Combs said during a press conference on Monday.
