    A Notice of Violation was issued to the University of Toledo’s 88.3 WXUT Toledo OH following a complaint filed to the FCC about the station’s operating schedule. The FCC found that WXUT failed to file an STA when it was off the air from February through July of this year due to a failed transmitter. They also failed to notify the FCC that it was allowing time-share partner 88.3 WXTS-FM Toledo to operate 24/7 during that timeframe. Seaview Communications Gospel 90.9 WPEX Kenbridge VA was issued a $15,000 penalty and a two year license renewal as opposed to eight for failing to prepare required quarterly issues and programs lists and failing to upload this information into the station’s online public inspection file.   • Rick Kamla Departs Afternoons At 610 KILT Houston For SiriusXM
    Less than three months after joining Entercom’s “SportsRadio 610” KILT Houston as afternoon co-host, Rick Kamla is departing to take an expanded role with SiriusXM. Kamla, who previously served as an anchor for NBA-TV, will host on the service’s NBA Radio while continuing to host on Fantasy Sports Radio. Kamla joined KILT along with Clint Stoerner in July to host a 2-6pm show at the station. He previously hosted middays on “92.9 The Game” WZGC Atlanta from 2012 until exiting in April. Stoerner will remain in afternoons with a series of guest co-hosts until a permanent replacement is named.   • Caitlin ‘CJ’ Johnson Joins 93Q Houston For Afternoons
    Cox Media Country “93Q” 92.9 KKBQ-FM Pasadena/Houston TX has filled its afternoon opening with the addition of Caitlin ‘CJ’ Johnson. Johnson will debut in Houston on August 11. She joins KKBQ after spending her entire career at Cox CHR 95.1 WAPE Jacksonville. Johnson began at WAPE as a sales assistant in 2012 before becoming night host in 2014 and Music Director/afternoon host in 2016. CJ will fill the on=air hole created by the retirement of Cactus Jack at the end of August. Award-winning, country music radio station, KKBQ-FM, The New 93Q, welcomes industry standout, Caitlin “CJ” Johnson, to its on-air talent lineup. Johnson will make her Houston radio debut on Monday, November 11 th , hosting afternoon drive weekdays from 3p to 7p.
